This directory contains FreeBSD ISO images that can be used to burn
fully capable FreeBSD installation CDs. If you're looking for a more
hand-held experience with printed documentation, technical support
and the joy of knowing that you are supporting the FreeBSD project,
please see:
http://www.freebsdmall.com.
Where you can obtain a 4-CD set or DVD in a nice box that includes
documentation, etc.
Thanks!
Contents:
---------
5.4/ - 5.4 Release ISOs - a production release
6.0/ - 6.0 Release ISOs - a production release
NOTE: Old releases are available at:
ftp://ftp-archive.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD-Archive/old-releases/

Usage:
FreeBSD users: /usr/ports/sysutils/cdrecord is probably just what
you're looking for when it comes to burning these images to a SCSI
CD-R drive. If you're using an IDE CD-R drive, use the built-in
burncd command.
Users of other operating systems: These are standard ISO images!
Most burner software packages (for MacOS, MS Windows, or your
favorite OS) will deal with them just fine without having to
change them in any way.
